Ria is from Kolkata, India. She earned her PhD at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She likes to do the following in the lab: HIV and SARS-CoV-2 in vitro/ex vivo infection, Viral copy number detection using qRT-PCR and ddPCR, Single Genome Amplification, Detection of infectious viral titer using plaque assay and coculture assay, Fluorescent Microscopy, Human and rhesus macaque blood and lymph node processing, Cellular phenotyping using multi-color flow cytometry, and RNA-seq downstream analysis. She is looking forward to living in a big city, adjusting to life in NYC, and checking out multicultural cuisine!
